So good on Amber who really was kicking up a fuss and moving the wee ones in the dark - not easy for chooks. Thanks PG for the info!Jane Robertsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03420485615132391496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-235749018918182184.post-78908986702511406222011-01-06T15:07:38.563+13:002011-01-06T15:07:38.563+13:00Hi Jane .. I was always told hedgehogs carried germs and not to touch them but find them cute as well .. although have learnt that they are something to be wary of as will climb to eat eggs and kill chicks !! So Amber would have instinctively known that.Pukeko Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18081695501706059738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-235749018918182184.post-77987541379952701002010-12-26T17:23:48.268+13:002010-12-26T17:23:48.268+13:00Hedgehogs are quite common in home gardens but, be...Hedgehogs are quite common in home gardens but, being nocturnal, you don't see them much. You can hear them snuffling at night in the undergrowth and occasionally running on surprisingly long legs. Sadly also many end up as road kill. I love hedgehogs - partly I suspect a legacy of being brought up on Beatrix Potter!!Jane Robertsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03420485615132391496noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-235749018918182184.post-34805356680938490952010-12-25T02:43:13.885+13:002010-12-25T02:43:13.885+13:00A hedgehog! It's as hard for me to imagine a hedgehog in the chicken house as it is to imagine not having squirrels. And I do love night noises---that is, if safe from whatever is making them :-)dkmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04322142359551595275noreply@blogger.com
